As Storm Abigail pounds the far north of the UK it is for once a little less easy to forget just how close to Scotland we are on the Isle of Man. The first real hints of winter blew in today with 5degree temperatures chased by 40mph+ winds.
I headed down to Port St Mary in the morning to see the waves crash over the rocky slabs. The sun shone through catching the edge of the spray, with each new impact throwing a different shape into the air.
Driving home I took a detour coming across some fantastic old mine buildings high up on the moors. Somewhat unequipped for the biting windchill I didn’t hang around long.
